Pledges to Unite: Ongwae leads Gusii leaders in visiting Education CS Nominee Machogu in Nairobi. A section of leaders from the expansive Gusii region today paid a courtesy call to Education cabinet secretary Nominee Ezekiel Machogu who hails from the region.
The Gusii region leaders from different political parties were drawn from Kisii and Nyamira counties. Former immediate Kisii governor James Ongwae led the delegation in meeting the education cabinet secretary Nominee at his official office in Nairobi.
The leaders pledged to work together irrespective of their political affiliations in delivering service to the nation and Gusii region.
” We have a common goal and responsibility to unite and offer service to the nation. We shall continue strengthening our socio-political agenda through collaborative public engagements with everyone irrespective of their political inclination” posted Education CS Nominee Ezekiel Machogu on his official Facebook page.
” Played host to the leaders from both Kisii and Nyamira counties who paid me a courtesy call at my Nairobi office” added Machogu.
Formers Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi and women representative Janet Ongera were also in attendance.
Both Machogu and Maangi vied unsuccessfully for Kisii gubernatorial and senatorial seats on a UDA party ticket. Machogu lost to current Kisii governor Simba Arati while Maangi lost to the current Senator.
