Cameroon: A woman has her 04-month-old baby stolen in Yaoundé because of a piece of pork. A scene that took place in the Kodengui district in the 4th district of Yaoundé at a place called Carrosel.

The latter went out for a drink with a friendly couple. Everything was going well until this famous pig thing happened. Pork is at the heart of an incredible story.

The comments have been going all over the place since the occurrence of the disappearance of this baby girl. Everyone has their own commentary. For some, the girl selling doughnuts in Kodengui was duped by her interlocutors. A couple whose friendship only lasted less than 72 hours. For still others, the lady herself would have orchestrated the theft of her baby. Difficult, for the moment, to know where the truth is. The three people enter a local bar around 5 p.m. And very quickly, events will follow one another as the bar manager says: “When I was lying there, they called me. They were three in number (two ladies and a gentleman); they ordered three beers. Sometime later, they ordered a second tour. Then I gave them the bill.

They gave me a sum of 10,000 FCFA. He told me to pay him back because he’s going to have to leave. In the meantime, I saw the little children coming; there was one of them who had the baby in his hand. He gave the baby to the youngest. She got up with the gentleman and handed this baby to the second lady. A few moments later, the lady also got up with this gentleman and took the direction of the crossroads. Two minutes later, the lady also gets up, she puts the towel on the child and arranges it well, she carries the milk they bought and takes the opposite direction. Moments later, the young lady who ordered the drink asked me if the bill has been paid. I answer: Yes. Afterwards, she tells me that they left with my child. That’s where I didn’t understand anything.”

Back at the scene, the baby’s mother will only have her eyes to cry. The lady to whom she had just given her child is no longer there. As for the male partner, no one knows. Then follow the shrill cries and tears that will alert the neighbourhood and other curious. “We saw a woman running, she is going up. Oh, the child the child. She comes down. It’s when she goes down when we approach her and we ask her: but Madam, what’s going on? This is where she explains to us that she was sitting at the bar with two people (a man and a lady). Now, he has been sent to buy the pork at the Carrossel crossroads. When she returns, the gentleman has disappeared with the lady and the baby. She was going up, down and she was crying, ”continues the same witness.

Before being taken to safety for investigation at a local police station, the mother of the stolen baby who, according to some sources, had an argument with her partner in the morning, said she met this couple on September 3. last. A neighbour of the unfortunate said: “The gentleman there told me that his wife had given birth at the central hospital by Caesarean section. So he came to tell me that there is no one to cook for his wife. he asked that she cook for his wife. And she did. The gentleman, therefore, invited him to thank her. Afterwards, this gentleman invited him to the bar. She had two beers (Beaufort). The gentleman was accompanied by a lady. The lady had black rastas and the gentleman was strong and black according to what she explained to me. So when she goes to buy the pig, it is as if an instinct asks him to return. So when she returns, she no longer finds the gentleman, nor the girl, nor the child”.

Inconsolable, the father of the missing child, who arrived on the scene a few hours after the crime, reveals that he saw this same couple not far from his home the night before. What was he talking about? The continuation of the investigations opened by the police will tell us more.
