HITL University of Bamenda Year One Entrance Examination 2023-2024 access conditions. Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics HITL MINESUP.

A Competitive Entrance Examination and set the number of places into Year One of the Higher Institute of Transport and Logistics (HITL Bamenda), of the University of Bamenda is usually launched every year.

Even though the concours for the 2023-2024 session is still to be launched, here are some vital infos you should know if you are an aspired candidate.

The competitive entrance examination comprises of a written examination counting for 70% and an assessment of the candidate’s previous academic work based on transcript results for 30%.

As for the written exam, it usually takes place in the four centres of Bambili, Douala and Yaounde and Ngaoundere and the syllabuses of the written examination are the same as in the Baccalauréats or GCE A/L corresponding programmes.

Marks for each paper of the written tests are ranged from zero to twenty. Any candidate who scores less than five out of twenty shall be disqualified.

Questions will cover General Knowledge. English, French, Mathematics and Economics.

Access conditions

The examination based on infos from previous years is usualy organised in one sitting to Cameroonians of both sexes, holders of GCE/AL, in at least two (02) subjects including the major subject of the Department or Baccalauréat or any equivalent diploma recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and of GCE/OL in at least four (5) subjects including English Language and Maths or Economics and excluding Religious Knowledge

Maritime Transport

  • Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2 and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics.
  • Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any other paper excluding Religious Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.

Land Transport

  • Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics. 
  • Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any other paper excluding Religious Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.

Transit and logistics

  • Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics.
  • Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any ether paper excluding Religious Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.

Customs:   HITL University of Bamenda Entrance 2023-2024

  • Minimum 5 GCE O/L papers including English and Mathematics and any other three excluding Religious Knowledge or Probatoire B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in English and Mathematics.
  • Minimum 2 GCE A/L papers including Mathematics or Economics and any other paper excluding Religiôus Knowledge or Baccalauréat B, C, D, E, G2, IT and industry series with a pass in Mathematics or Economics.

Required documents

  1. A registration form to be collected from HITL Bamebda, the Regional Delegation of Secondary Education or the website OF MINESUP: http://www.minesup.gov.cm. or download form the www.unibda.net.
  2. A certified photocopy of the birth certificate dated not more than six (6) months.
  3. A certified photocopy of GCE/OL or Probatoire certificate dated not more than six (6) months;
  4. Certified photocopies of GCE /OL, GCE /AL or Probatoire and Baccalauréat transcripts.
  5. A Medical certificate which is less than three months issued by a doctor of the Public service.
  6. A receipt upon payment of twenty thousand (20,000) FCFA as examination registration fees delivered by NFC BANK S.A: ACCOUNT No 10025 00032 16201050747-67 or by Orange Money or MTN Mobile Money.
  7. One self-addressed large envelope bearing postal stamps in conformity with the regulations in force.
  8. Four passport-size photographs.
  9. Upon admission, candidates are expected to present an authenticated copy of their certificate by The GCE Board / Office du Baccalauréat.
