Cameroon: Kidnapped kumbo school pupils released, staff still held captive

The entire pupils of the Presbyterian School Kumbo central in the restive North West region of Cameroon kidnapped earlier today by gunmen have been released meanwhile the school staff taken away alongside the pupils are said to be still in the keeping of the armed men.

According to reports, gunmen suspected to be Ambazonia fighters stormed the school at about 9am this Tuesday November 3 and kidnapped the entire pupils and staff of the institution.
They are reported to have later on freed the pupils but are still holding back the management staff and the teachers.
Located in the Bui Division of the restive North West region of Cameroon, Kumbo is one of the areas hard-hit by the Anglophone crisis.
