Full-time Job offer: FINANCIAL OFFICER at CAD, Bangem in the South West region of Cameroon. CAD is looking for a dynamic and committed Accountant who will ensure efficient and effective Financial & Accounting operations and systems as well as sound management of financial resources in place which support the delivery of high performing conservation and development activities. The Accountant will work as a team member of CAD in Bangem, reporting to the Coordinator.
Main responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all financial and accounting operations of CAD;
- Ensures the implementation and respect of CAD’s policies, procedures, and systems concerning all Finance and Accounting works as per the financial manual developed by CAD;
- Ensures that Cameroon laws regarding Finance and operations are respected;
- Ensures that quality-financial reports are delivered to all required stakeholders on time;
- Conduct fundraising activities within CAD
- Represent CAD, as designated by the Coordinator, in meetings and workshops.
Required Qualifications of the FINANCIAL OFFICER
- Minimum of an HND or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Management;
- 2 years’ experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role, with demonstrated success in working with civil society organizations;
- Full accounting qualification i.e. CPA, ACCA or equivalent will be a plus;
- Demonstrated skills in developing, managing and evaluating financial and administrative plans and policies;
- Experience working with government and donors;
- A thorough knowledge of Computer operations particularly with dexterity with Ms-Excel or accounting’s software and systems.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership abilities and ability to work under pressure;
- Excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels, within CAD and, as required, with external stakeholders;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and French;
- High ethics and a personal commitment to transparency and accountability;
- Adherence to CAD’s values and principles.
