The date for the 2021 – 2022 JAMB exam (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE)) registration has been announced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB).
The examination body, which is responsible for the conduct of the entrance examination into the nation’s tertiary institutions, took the decision at the meeting of its governing board held on March 22.
JAMB 2021/2022 registration date
The JAMB 2021 registration will start on Thursday, April 8 and end on Saturday, May 15, 2021.
“Registration will take place in 700 centres across the country; the list is available in all the state offices of JAMB and on its website at www.jamb.gov.ng.
“Candidates are also to note that the registration for Direct Entry applicants will run concurrently with that of UTME candidates.
“There will be no extension of time for the sale of the UTME or DE application documents.
Mock exams and final Jamb exam date
The mock examination for 2021 UTME is scheduled to hold on Friday, April 30, 2021. UTME mock exam is not compulsory but for those who indicate interest and are registered before April 24. So, make sure to complete your JAMB registration before April 24 to participate in the mock exam.
As for the official exam, JAMB UTME exams 2021/2022 will hold from Saturday, June 5 to Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Venues of the examination would be at any of the centres in the candidate’s chosen examination town. Of course, expect to get notified about the exact exam centre early enough as the exam approaches.
How to register for JAMB
First of all, the registration fee for the 2021 JAMB application documents is N3,500 and an additional N500 for the mandatory purchase of reading texts for the candidates.

Also, it should be noted that potential candidates must provide their National Identity Number (NIN) at the point of registration.
