Edo State Ranks 1st in the 2022 West African Examination Council (WAEC) Ranking as they recorded a 92.8% success rate among students who sat for the exam. And this isn’t all, the state also ranked second in the country for the pass percentage among public school students who took the exam in 2021 based on a statement issued yesterday.
According to the data from WAEC and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Edo led the national tally with 92.8 percent of students passing the exams with five credits, including English and Mathematics, followed closely by Enugu State in second place with 92.7 percent, Anambra in third place with 92.2 percent, Benue State in fourth place with 91.5 percent, Ebonyi in fifth place with 90.5 percent, and Cross River State in sixth place with 90.2 percent.
Enugu State rated top with 93.9 percent, Edo second with 93.5 percent, Benue third with 91.7 percent, Ebonyi fourth with 91.3 percent, and Anambra fifth with 91.3 percent in the ranking of the performance of public schools that presented candidates for the exam.
