Concours HICM of Bamenda 2023-2024. A competitive entrance examination into year one of the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management (HICM), of The University of Bamenda, for the 2022/2023 Academic Year has been launched in the following Departments.
- The examination shall be organized in two sitting for Cameroonians of both sexes, holders of GCE A/L or Baccalaureate or any equivalent diploma recognized by the Minister of Higher Education, in addition to 5 O/L papers including English language and Maths.
- The table below shows the required diplomas or certificates a candidate must have to be qualified to register for the common entrance in a given Department.
ACCOUNTING – Accounting & Finances:
- Must have 5 O/L papers including English and Maths. Baccalaureate G2 or GCE A/L in Accountancy, A2, A3 or A4 series.
MANAGEMENT – Management:
- Must have 5 O/L papers including English and Maths. Baccalaureate G1, G2 and G3 or GCE A/l in Business Studies, A2, A3 or A4 series.
MARKETING – Marketing:
- Must have 5 O/L papers including English and Maths. Baccalaureate G1, G2 and G3 or GCE A/l in Business Studies, A2, A3 or A4 series.
INSURANCE & SECURITY – Insurance:
- Must have 5 O/L papers including English and Maths. Baccalaureate or GCE A/l in A2, A3 or A4 or GCE A/l in technical in Accountancy.
About HICM
Higher Institute of Commerce and Management (HICM) is one of the apt professional schools of The University of Bamenda.
At HICM, students who leave as job creators, not job seekers are given holistic training which meets international standards and are exposed to a huge ecosystem of economic opportunities. The school has graduated over 600 students since 2014; most of whom have been absorbed in enterprises across the country.

Concours HICM of Bamenda 2023-2024 required documents
The application files shall comprise the following documents:
- A registration form is to be collected from the Higher Institute of Commerce and Management (HICM Bambili), Bamenda, Bambili or MINESUP Yaounde.
- A certified true copy of the birth certificate dated not more than six (6) months.
- GCE O/L or probatoire certificate, signed or certified by the competent boards.
- A certified photocopy of Baccalaureate or GCE A/L or equivalent diploma dated not more than six (06) months. Candidates preparing for the Baccalaureate or GCE A/L for 2018 shall present their diplomas later.
- A receipt upon payment of twenty thousand (20,000) FCFA as non-refundable registration fees delivered by NFC BANK S.A. following the bank code 10025-00030-17101020846-22, or Orange Money, MTN mobile money or Express union.
- One self-addressed large envelope bearing stamps in conformity with the regulations in force.
- Four passport-size photographs.
