The founder of the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa, Felix Agbor Nkongho has called for perpetrators of last weekend’s killings in Kumba to be held accountable.
He was reacting last weekend after gunmen invaded the Mother Francisca international bilingual school in Fiango, Kumba, shooting and killing seven children and injuring over a dozen.
Last Saturday’s killings have drawn widespread condemnation both at home and abroad with Agbor Balla now calling for the perpetrators to be held accountable.
“I strongly condemn the killing of school children at Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy in Kumba. These gruesome and barbaric killings are a gross violations of the right to life of these kids,” Agbor Balla said.
“It is unacceptable for anyone or groups of persons to harass, attack, and or kill children. It is a fundamental right for children to be educated. Hence, the perpetrators of these heinous crimes should be held accountable.
“My sincere and heartfelt condolences to their families.
