The first semester in higher institutes begins on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 and runs till Friday, March 3rd, 2023 while the second semester goes from Monday, March 20, 2023, to Friday, July 23, 2023, meaning a 3-week break will be observed.

his information is contained in a decision signed this Wednesday, August 10 by the minister of higher education, Jacques Fame Ndongo, fixing the 2022/2023 academic calendar in higher institutes of learning across the country.

In the decision, we also learn that pedagogic training sessions of newly recruited lecturers will be done in the Month of November 2022, while university games will run from Saturday, February 18, 2023, to Saturday 25, 2023 during which lectures shall be suspended.

A deadline of September 19, 2022, has been given to each higher institute of learning to deposit at the ministry of higher education, their Particular academic calendars for the year academic 2023-2024 that have been adjusted to fit into the general calendar made known this day.
