Here is the history of the 6 Years Old Boy Who Was Escorted To School By 70 Police Officers. After the death of his father, 5-year-old Dakota Pitts was escorted to school by an unprecedented number of police officers a few years ago. He was very well-liked by his teammates, and his father had died in the line of duty. The first day of school after the burial was going to be tough, but luckily, he wasn’t left to fend for himself owing to the friends his father had made at work.

After Dakota’s father was laid to rest, 70 officers from the Terre Haute Police Department and the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department offered their services to accompany him on the short journey back to school. They all met at Sullivan Elementary to welcome the young kid with open arms.

According to Terre Haute Police Detective Les Hamm, “Dakota requested his mom if one of his dad’s friends could transport him to school, so she reached out to Rob’s friends and families.”

After hearing this, the officers resolved to honour the deceased hero by standing by his kid. Dakota carried his father’s badge that day as he passed the officers stationed outside of his school. After a while, he got his own SWAT shirt and badge. For 16 years, Rob Pitts served the department diligently; tragically, he lost his life while conducting an investigation.

When asked about their reaction to the incident, Dakota’s family indicated that they were shocked by the outpouring of kindness they received. If you like what you see, you may follow the page to get daily news updates.
