Rufai Useni’s characterization of the Adamawa election as “democratic fascism” has sparked a trail of reactions.

The Adamawa State gubernatorial election has been marked by controversy, particularly following a rerun. Before the supplementary elections held on Saturday, Premium Times reported that Mr. Fintiri held a lead of over 30,000 votes against Mrs. Binani. The rerun was conducted in 69 polling units across the state’s 20 local governments, with less than 40,000 eligible voters.

Initially, Binani was announced as the winner by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), but the Independent National Electoral Commission rejected the declaration, stating that “The action of the REC is a usurpation of the power of the Returning Officer. It is null, void, and of no effect.” Oseni Rufai, a global speaker, thought leader, and co-host on Arise Television, has commented on the recent political developments in the state via his official Twitter handle.

The statement released by Oseni read, ” Only in Nigeria we do illegality and ensure that the courts will validate the illegality. Adamawa was a democratic fascist.

The statement Oseni released led to a lot of reactions; the following are some of those reactions
