dvprogram.state.gov: DV-2024 Lottery Program Online Registration important highlights. The online registration for the DV Lottery 2024 started this month on October 05, 2022. As things stand, for this year, the VISA requirement that was included some years ago has been completely rolled out.
Also, no ID card number is required to apply for the DV-2024 Lottery program as some people may claim. All you will be asked of are your personal information and your name and date of birth as on your National Identity card.

DV-2024 Lottery Program Instructions
The English version of the DV-2024 Program Instructions in PDF format is the only official version. Unofficial translations in additional languages will be added to this webpage as they become available.
Note: As indicated in the instructions, for the purposes of eligibility some countries include components and dependent areas overseas. If you are a native of a dependency or overseas territory, please select the appropriate country of eligibility. For example, natives of Macau S.A.R should select Portugal, and natives of Martinique should select France.
DV-2024 Program: Online Registration
As earlier mentioned, the DV-2024 Program online registration started on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4) and concludes on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 12:00 noon, Eastern Standard Time (EST) (GMT-5). Submission of more than one entry for a person will disqualify all entries for that person.
To register for the DV-2024 Lottery, one of the most important requirements is your photo. The photo requirements are very strict and your chances of being selected depend on that.
Before beginning, the entry process, verify that your picture and pictures for any dependents fully comply with the DV entry photo requirements included in the DV-2024 instructions. The photo requirements are very strict and must meet the following criteria:

| Head coverings | Are not permitted except for religious reasons. |
| Glasses | Are not allowed. |
| Colour | High-quality colour photos only – no black-and-white photos! |

| Resolution | 600×600 pixels / 300 dpi |
| File size | Maximum 240 KB |
| File format | JPG format |
| Photo age | The photo must not be older than 6 months and needs to reflect the current look. Photos of previous DV Lotteries should not be used. |
